Peab rebuilds Noltorp School in Alingsås
Peab has been commissioned to rebuild Noltorp School in Alingsås. The customer is Alingsåshem and the contract is worth SEK 252 million.
Noltorp School was built in 1973 and in recent years the school has become overcrowded. Temporary module housing has solved the needs so far but now Alingsåshem is going to replace them with a permanent and modern school building. Peab will build new facilities and a new full size sports area as well as completely refurbish the existing school. The future Noltorp School will be able to take in up to 640 students compared to around 460 student now.
“We are very proud to be building the new Noltorp School which will hold for many generations to come. We at Peab have extensive experience in building schools and the knowledge we bring to the project will help us find the best solutions. We look forward to start building so that students, teachers and personnel can be in a new, fresh school,” says Stefan Lindvert, Peab Production Manager in Alingsås.
The project is a turnkey contract in partnering and will be completed in stages during 2022 to 2024.
“We have been planning and preparing for a long time so it feels really good to start up construction and develop the Noltorp area even more together with Peab,” says Måns Werner, Project and Development Manager at Alingsåshem.
The project will be order registered in the second quarter 2020.
