Peab has been commissioned to rebuild a school in Malmö. The customer is Revelop and the contract is worth SEK 186 million.

The property is located in the western section of Malmö, northwest of Pildamm Park. The building was originally constructed for Malmö Mekaniska Tricotfabrik (MMT) in 1898. Now it will house three new high schools with around 1,100 students sharing a kitchen and cafeteria. Most of the changes will be to the interior with a new floor plan but parts of the exterior will also be affected, like the entrances and a new glass section facing the courtyard that will emerge from rebuilding the kitchen. The total surface of the renovation is almost 8,300 m2 gross area.

“We’re pleased and proud to be part of creating a new school for Malmö’s high school students. As a community builder we consider this a very important project,” says Olle Olsson, Region Manager Peab.

The project is a turnkey contract in partnering. The project has begun and contract is expected to be completed in the summer of 2025.

The project was order registered in the first quarter 2024.
