Peab has signed a contract to rebuild the town hall in Strängnäs. The customer is Strängnäs Fastighets AB and the contract is worth SEK 240 million.

The project comprises rebuilding the existing town hall in Strängnäs in order to support an activity-based workplace and to update the premises and work environment. The gross area of the renovation is 11,300 m2 and the gross area of the extension is 1,020 m2.

"We're happy to be part of this collaboration with Strängnäs Municipality and Peab. Our goal is for the town hall to be a modern, accessible and energy-efficient building that reflects our common vision for a sustainable future," says Niklas Nybro, Project Manager at Strängnäs Fastighets AB.

"Rebuilding the town hall will create the right conditions to expand collaboration among the municipal group of companies. It will promote working together, innovation and our ability to deliver even better public services to our residents," says Lars Ekström, Municipal Director.

"We are happy to be involved and contribute to the development of Strängnäs. We’re really enthusiastic about taking on this partnering project," says Nils Staffansson, Region Manager Peab.

The project will be run as a partnering contract. Construction is scheduled to start in the summer of 2024 and the project is expected to be ready for occupancy in the autumn of 2026.

The project will be order registered in the second quarter of 2024.
