Peab rebuilds Ullevi Road in Linköping
Peab has been commissioned to rebuild the first stage of Ullevi Road in Linköping. The customer is Linköping Municipality and the contract is worth SEK 160 million.
Ullevi Road is being rebuilt to improve passability and connect the western and eastern sections of northern Linköping. In the first stage we will build a new bridge over Stång River, four roundabouts and a new pedestrian and bicycle path. There will also be a bird watch tower, a dam and a row of trees will be planted along each side of the new road.

Rebuilding Ullevi Road is an important infrastructure project that will facilitate traveling between the western and eastern sections of the city for Linköping residents. We build infrastructure with our own resources in Östergötland and we’ll employ a great many local suppliers in the project. In other words, this is good example of our local community building,” says Stefan Andersson, Region Manager Peab.
“Ullevi Road has been wanted and needed for quite some time. The pedestrian and bicycle path and road will finally tie together Tornby and Mörtlösa, lessen the traffic on Kallerstad Road and make traveling easier and smoother,” says Stefan, municipal council member and Chair of the Community Building Committee.
The project is a traditional contract. Construction will begin in January 2024 and is expected to be completed in the second quarter 2025.
The project will be order registered in the fourth quarter 2023.
