Peab receives order located at Danderyd Hospital
Smidmek AB, a company in the Peab Group, has been commissioned to deliver the frame of a new building for Danderyd Hospital in Stockholm. The customer is Region Stockholm through Locum AB and the contract is worth SEK 169 million.
Smidmek is complete supplier of prefabricated frames in steel and concrete. The new project is a divided contract for building 61 at Danderyd Hospital in which Smidmek will deliver the frame. The building will be around 34,000 m2 and have 14 floors with wards, clinics and a helicopter pad. The objective is to create a flexible building that can adapt to the shifting needs in healthcare without requiring extensive rebuilding.
“As a community builder it feels particularly good to be part of building healthcare premises for the future. We are proud to receive this commission from Locum,” says Carl Rülcker, Head of Smidmek.
This is a frame contract and mounting will start in March 2022. The frame is expected to be completely mounted in March 2023.
The project will be order registered in the fourth quarter 2020.
