Peab has been commissioned to expand and renovate Sirkkala School in Turku. The customer is the city of Turku and the contract is worth EUR 13 million.

The project entails tearing down an old school building and building a new, larger one. In addition, Peab will renovate three older school buildings along with one built in 2000s. All in all the project comprises five units.

“Since this project entails working with school buildings from different periods we can really take advantage of our expertise in renovating and building schools. We’re particularly proud to carry out this project in Åbo and thereby consolidate Peab’s position in the region,” says Matti Joensuu, Region Manager Peab.

The project is a turnkey contract. Construction starts in October 2021 and the project is expected to be completed in June 2023.

The project will be order registered in the third quarter 2021.
