ATS Kraftservice AB, which is a subsidiary of Peab, has once again been entrusted as the main contractor for electricity grid services to Vattenfall Eldistribution AB in Central Norrland. The contract runs for three years and is worth SEK 105 million.

The project covers Västerbotten County and parts of northern Ångermanland, where the focus of the current project has been on the municipalities of Örnsköldsvik, Nordmaling and Åsele. It is about renewing older electricity networks and strengthening underground cable or overhead line networks.

"We are pleased to have Vattenfall's continued confidence to deliver electricity grid services. We have had a similar arrangement in the past and look forward to developing the collaboration for at least three more years," says Håkan Ström, CEO of ATS Kraftservice AB.

The requirements for sustainability and the environment have been expanded in the framework agreement.

"Climate profiling is increasing in the construction project and for us it's very much about renewable fuels, which is crucial for the long distances we have to work with," says Håkan Ström.

The project starts on January 1, 2025 and includes local network projects and runs until December 31, 2027. Thereafter, the agreement with an option for 2+1 years will run until December 31, 2030 at the latest.

The project will be order registered in the third quarter 2024.
