Peab to build a motorway part near Skara

Peab has been contracted to extend road 49 between Skara and Axvall in Västergötland, to motorway. The National Road Administration is the client and the contract amounts to SEK 148 million.

The present road, with a length of 6.1 kilometres, will be broaden with two driving lanes and in this manner become a motorway. The contract also includes building four bridges and three traffic places.

The work will begin in November 2007 and it is estimated to be ready for use in October 2010.
