Peab to build railroad bridges along Bothnia Lane

Peab to build railroad bridges along the Bothnia Lane Peab has won the contract to build three new railroad bridges in the county of Ångermanland in northern Sweden. The contract is ordered by the Botniabanan AB and it amounts SEK 400 million. The construction is planned to start before the end of 2003, and all three bridges is estimated to be completed during the first half of 2006. The railroad bridge across the river Ångermanälven, just north of Kramfors airport will be a composite bridge made from steel and concrete. The bridge will have a length of 1.040 meters, and it will have a vertical clearance of 6,5 - 8 meters. The railroad bridge across the Lake Offersjön in the community of Sollefteå, will be built completely from concrete and it will be 480 meters long. The maximum height of the bridge over the surface of the water will med 12 meters. The railroad bridge over the river of Nätraån just south of the city of Örnsköldsvik will have a length of 1.000 meters. It will be build as a composite of steel and concrete and have a maximum vertical clearance of 40 meters above the surface of the water.
