Peab wins maintenance paving contract in four counties
Peab has received the commission for maintenance paving in the four counties of Södermanland, Örebro, Västmanland and Gävleborg. The customer is the Swedish Transport Administration and the total contract is worth SEK 157 million.
The commissions are part of the Swedish Transport Administration's investments in strengthening Swedish infrastructure. The contracts cover a total of 3.8 million m2 of roads with both low and high density traffic.
This maintenance will be carried out through tank paving, which is a method where new surface treatment prolongs the life of heavily worn roads. The paving is manufactured directly onsite, which cuts out transportation and makes the process both energy-efficient and effective.
"We're very proud to have been entrusted with this maintenance and look forward to good collaboration in all the counties," says Magnus Lockner, Region Manager at Peab's subsidiary Peab Asfalt.
Work will start at the end of April. The contracts in Örebro and Gävleborg are for 2026–2027 and in Södermanland and Västmanland for 2026–2028.
The projects will be order registered in the first quarter 2026.
