The Peab acquisition of Midroc Construction has been approved

The Swedish Competition Authority has approved the Peab acquisition of Midroc Construction and their subsidiary Midroc Construction in Gothenburg. The take over will be on January 18 2006. The acquisition means that Peab takes over all staff, ongoing contracts and the order backlog of Midroc Construction. Midroc Construction operates in the south of Sweden with the Gothenburg and Jönköping areas as the northern border. The company has around 500 employees and the turnover in 2004 amounted to SEK 900 million, of which SEK 150 million within civil engineering.
