CoreMatrix Forms an Advisory Board for the Financial Services Industry to Bring Clarity to Cloud Computing

Red Bank, N.J., February 10, 2011 – CoreMatrix Systems™, a leading cloud computing consulting and Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) company, today announced the formation of an advisory board for the financial services industry. The new board will provide financial services executives with information on cloud computing strategies and guidance on alternative cloud based solutions available today.

The new board combines the financial services cloud computing expertise of both CoreMatrix and roundCorner™, a Salesforce.com Foundation consulting partner. The initial members of the Board are as follows:

Ernie Megazzini, Vice President, Cloud Technology, CoreMatrix

Ernie leads the strategic planning and solutions architecture functions for CoreMatrix, and plays a key role in working with clients to develop strategies that drive business and advance information technology. He has more than twenty years’ experience running innovative technology consulting organizations in the SaaS space.  Ernie is a recognized industry expert, known for his ability to leverage cloud computing solutions such as Salesforce.com, Informatica, Amazon, and Google to help companies transform their businesses.

Ernie has long been acknowledged as a subject matter expert in financial services as well.  Prior to joining CoreMatrix, he was a Senior Vice President at Sun Trust, Director of Technology at KPMG, and Vice President of Systems Re-engineering and Design at Paine Webber. Ernie has been a staple in the Investment Analyst Community for fifteen years and is regularly interviewed by technology hedge funds, institutional portfolio managers, and both buy/sell side analysts. The analyst community values Ernie’s ability to assess technology trends as well as the potential investment worthiness of new and emerging public and private companies.

Nick Ward, Founding Partner, roundCorner

Nick is responsible for leading roundCorner’s market development activities. Nick helped pioneer the use of SaaS in large, complex enterprise implementations at OKERE, Inc., a company he co-founded in 2003 that became Salesforce.com’s premier financial services consulting partner and was later sold to Fujitsu America.

Prior to OKERE, Nick was General Manager, Financial Services for Siebel Systems (now Oracle). Nick joined Siebel, a leading CRM provider, through Siebel’s acquisition of his company, MOHR Development, in 2000. Nick was Executive Sponsor to some of Siebel’s most important clients, including JPMorgan Chase, Citibank, Merrill Lynch, PNB, Bank of Montreal, and Societe Generale.

As President, CEO, and co-founder of MOHR, Nick grew the company in fifteen years to be one of the nation’s most respected consulting and training firms focusing on the high technology and financial services markets. MOHR’s sales, service, and customer relationship methodologies became deeply embedded in the standard sales and management practices of banks such as Wells Fargo, Wachovia/First Union, Chemical/Chase, Fleet Bank, KeyBank, Smith Barney, and many others.

Dan Lammot, Founding Partner, roundCorner

Dan is responsible for roundCorner’s strategic direction and leads the company’s professional services and product development efforts.  Prior to founding roundCorner, Dan co-founded OKERE, Inc., where he was personally responsible for the delivery of 40,000+ Salesforce.com licenses in over 65 countries including, but not limited to Merrill Lynch, Citigroup, JP Morgan Chase, ABN AMRO, and Barclays.  Dan has vast expertise in private wealth management as well as equity sales, research, and distribution. He consistently serves as a financial services subject matter expert for project and sales teams.  Following the sale of OKERE, Dan managed Fujitsu’s SaaS customer service and support organization, which ensured the success of over 400,000 Salesforce.com users. 

Barney Haywood, Head of Professional Services, roundCorner

Barney is responsible for the creation and management of the roundCorner professional services group, as well as delivery and management of all in-life roundCorner projects.  Prior to roundCorner, Barney served in several senior consulting management roles at OKERE, and later Fujitsu.  Barney led a number of global deployments of Salesforce.com for major financial services organizations including Barclays Wealth Private Bank and RBS’ Equity Distribution and Research division.  His responsibilities included managing business and technical requirement analysis across a variety of global business units, as well as defining and implementing wealth management best practices.Barney also worked at Fusion Cloud where he helped established the company in partnership with FusionExperience to deliver cloud computing solutions across the financial services and insurance industries.
