2014 New York City PBR Invitational at Madison Square Garden
The polls are now open and the candidates need your votes!
Twelve of the top Professional Bull Riders (PBR) are competing for the title of the PBR’s Sexiest Cowboy and invite fans to start casting their votes now. From Sept. 17 - Oct. 28, fans can tell the world who they think is the “hottest” cowboy by visiting www.pbr.com/TheLongestRide to vote or by texting COWBOY to 34763.
The promotion is being launched today in conjunction with the release of the hardcover of The Longest Ride, the latest novel from New York Times best-selling author Nicholas Sparks about a fictional PBR bull rider, Luke Collins. The PBR’s Sexiest Cowboy contest will determine which bull rider will grace the cover of a special paperback edition of the book which will be sold exclusively at Wal-Mart stores across the country starting April 2014.
The winner of the contest will be announced when the Wal-Mart edition paperback book cover is unveiled during a VIP party at the PBR’s New York City event at Madison Square Garden on Jan. 3-5, 2014, which kicks off the 2014 Built Ford Tough Series season.
In addition to a winning cowboy, the contest will also award one lucky fan who casts a vote a VIP trip to the New York City event. Airfare, hotel accommodations, tickets and a VIP experience will be theirs. Fans who cast a vote are automatically entered into the sweepstakes.
The PBR Sexiest Cowboy finalists were announced in Nashville on Aug. 20. They are: Brant Atwood, Brendon Clark, Douglas Duncan, Jory Markiss, Luke Snyder, Markus Mariluch, Mike White, Pistol Robinson, Reese Cates, Ross Coleman, Sean Willingham and Stetson Lawrence.
Each finalist will not only have his own page on the contest website where votes can be cast, he will also be highlighted in the 2014 PBR Sexiest Cowboy Calendar which will be on sale at the end of September. Fans can purchase the calendar at www.shop.pbr.com, 2013 and 2014 PBR Built Ford Tough Series events and at department stores nationwide while supplies last.
