Royal Blind School pupils get set for London Metro Games

Press release: Thursday June 18 2015Pupils from the Royal Blind School will be running, shot-putting and long jumping in London this weekend, at the Metro Athletics Open. The annual Games for visually impaired athletes attracts participants of all ages from across the UK to the stadium in Mile End, East London. Royal Blind School donates equipment to Blind School in Malawi

Press Release: Friday May 22, 2015Equipment from the Royal Blind School’s former campus in Craigmillar has been donated to a Blind School in Malawi. A total of 32 boxes of resources no longer required by the Royal Blind School in Edinburgh since its campuses merged, including science and maths Braille equipment, were shipped over by the charity Malawi Association of Christian Support (MACS). A convoy of scooters is set to ride to the Royal Blind School armed with Easter eggs this evening (Wed Mar 25). The Edinburgh Scooter Club’s Easter Egg Run leaves from Dreghorn Services at 7pm to ride to the Royal Blind School in Morningside. Tuesday March 10 2015The Royal Blind School is today (Tuesday) sharing the school’s approach to music education with an international audience at the first major conference to explore visually impaired musicians' lives. At the two day conference in London, music teacher Louisa Maddison will discuss music education for children and young people with a visual impairment.
