Boden Municipality has on 15 June 2021 decided on zooning assignments within the properties Björken 3, Guldhamstern 1, Boden 56:43 and Boden 56:19, which aims to enable new buildings for residentials and community service properties. In total, approximately 1,000 homes plus associated community services are planned for within SBB's existing properties and in addition to some extent on surrounding municipal land.

Samhällsbyggnadsbolaget i Norden AB (“SBB”) contributes to creating social infrastructure that supports the large industrial investments that are taking place in the north of Sweden and SBB has already begun a major investment in Skellefteå where SBB plans to build 1,500 new homes in the near future due to the new large industrial establishments taking place there.

As there are now major industrial investments also planned in Boden, SBB wants to contribute to meeting the coming demand for housing and social infrastructure.

"SBB is proud and sees it as a matter of course that as a major real estate player, SBB also takes its responsibility and contributes to the supply of housing and community services properties due to the upcoming major industrial investments planned in Boden," says Krister Karlsson, Deputy CEO of Samhällsbyggnadsbolaget i Norden AB.

"Boden will grow significantly in the coming years and it is very positive that SBB wants to be involved and invest in contributing to our growth," says Claes Nordmark, Municipal Councilor, Boden (S).
