Sødams Øko Fjerkræslagteri ApS was established in 2009 and processes approximately 500,000 organic and free-range chicken with annual sales of approximately MDKK 18. Sødams’ founders will continue to work for the company. The acquisition follows the company’s strategy for the Danish market of broadening the product portfolio of Danish chicken.

Scandi Standard has a vision of inspiring Nordic consumers to eat chicken once more per week. A key strategy to achieve this is to offer more premium chicken such as organic and free-range chicken.
