SA’s founder and CEO Joan Schneider recently presented at Harvard Business School with SA’s Vice President and Director of Digital Integration Don Martelli and Aaron Reid, Chief Behavioral Scientist at Sentient Decision Science. The panel discussion centered on product launch and the new methodologies that can be applied to ensure successful outcomes in driving consumers and customers to try and buy new products. The presenters delved into two highly effective techniques: tapping into subconscious drivers of behavior and analyzing social media conversations to assess emotional marketing that influences consumer purchasing behavior.

We know that consumers are telling companies what, when, and how they want to buy through what they aren’t saying (the subconscious) and through what they are saying (via social channels). The key is to take a holistic approach when listening to these cues to achieve a differentiated advantage in the marketplace.
