AniCura appoints Stein Istre Thoresen as Group Medical Quality and Development Director

AniCura, a leader in high quality veterinary care for companion animals, appoints Stein Istre Thoresen as Group Medical Quality and Development Director. The objective of the engagement is to enhance and further develop AniCura’s provision of high quality veterinary medicine in line with long term ambitions.

Stein Istre Thoresen, professor, dr. med. vet., DipECVCP, DipECVIM-CA, has long and comprehensive experience from developing and ensuring medical quality as well as forming and shaping international collaborations within the veterinary field. He has led the ECVCP Laboratory Standards Committee and participated in research networks. Stein currently holds a professorship in veterinary clinical pathology at the Norwegian University of Life Sciences and is the scientific editor of the Norwegian Veterinary Journal.

With his unique competence Stein is well placed to contribute to AniCura’s ongoing efforts within the fields of medical education, scientific research, veterinary development as well as quality assurance. In addition to the role as Group Director, Stein will also be holding seats in the AniCura Scientific Council and in the AniCura Council for Development of Veterinary Medicine.
