Air Berlin Takes Charts, Navdata, and Airport Obstacle Database from European Aeronautical Group.
At a meeting 6 July, Air Berlin and European Aeronautical Group signed a five years agreement for Air Berlin’s use of EAG’s Route Manual, electronic Route Manual – eR(R), Navdata, and Airport Obstacle Database. At the heart of this business deal is EAG’s cutting edge electronic charts platform, eRM, which is the only product of its kind that has been approved by the authorities for navigation without paper back-up. On the navdata side, EAG is a leading supplier to the industry, providing data for virtually all FMS and flight planning systems. EAG produces its own Airport Obstacle Database
