Högskolan Dalarnas centrum för Afrikastudier firar 10-års jubileum och arrangerar den tionde Afrikavecka 20-24 oktober 2014
Högskolan Dalarnas centrum för Afrikastudier, DUCAS, grundades 2004 med syfte att skapa förutsättningar och främja för afrikanska studier samt öka medvetenheten om Afrika i Sverige och EU. DUCAS som samarbetar med universiteten i Bologna och Pavia i Italien, Uleåborg i Finland och Nordiska Afrikainstitutet ger även stöd i afrikanska frågor.
Sedan 2006 har DUCAS årligen varit värd för Afrikadagar vid Högskolan Dalarna som i år utökas till en vecka för att högtidlighålla att det är den tionde gången Afrikadagarna arrangeras. Under veckan erbjuds bland annat föreläsningar med gästföreläsare från partneruniversitet i Europa och Afrika.
Arrangemanget är öppet för allmänheten.
