Ordfront ger ut Dorthe Nors hösten 2015

Ordfront förlag har förvärvat rättigheterna till den danska författaren Dorthe Nors uppmärksammade novellsamling Kantslag. Dorthe Nors tilldelades tidigare i höst P. O. Enquists pris.

Dorthe Nors debuterade 2001, har gett ut fem romaner och en novellsamling och är en av Danmarks mest originella samtida författare. Hon slår nu igenom stort runt om i världen med novellsamlingen Kantslag som kom ut 2008 i Danmark. Flera av novellerna har publicerats i internationella tidningar och hon är den första danska författaren som publicerats i The New Yorker. Recensionerna i Danmark och USA har varit överväldigande – hon älskas av såväl Oprah som New York Times som Vogue som Publishers Weekly. I september i år tilldelades hon det prestigefyllda P. O. Enquists pris som tidigare gått till bland annat Juli Zeh, Jonas Hassan Khemiri, Trude Marstein, Jón Kalman Stefánsson och Mara Lee.

Ordfront förlag har köpt rättigheterna till Kantslag samt till hennes roman Minna mangler et øvelokale (2013) och ger ut dem tillsammans i en specialutgåva hösten 2015.

Kantslag kan uppskattas av såväl litterära finsmakare som mer generella allätare. I de femton novellerna i boken bygger Dorthe Nors upp världar och raserar dem på nytt på bara några få sidor. Berättelserna drabbar läsaren med full kraft, slår genom tillvaron som karateslag och lyckas på ett nyskapande sätt fånga det mänskliga beteendet.

Kantslag har tryckts i sex upplagor i Danmark och ges ut i en rad andra länder under 2015, bland annat Storbritannien, Norge och Tjeckien. I USA har Dorthe Nors blivit ett sådant populärt namn att muggar och t-shirtar med citat av henne har börjat cirkulera.
