In the APA 2012 round Svenska Petroleum Exploration (Svenska) has been awarded two licenses offshore Mid-Norway.

Svenska has been awarded a 20% interest in PL 689. The operator is DONG Energy with Spring Energy and Bayerngas as co-partners.

Svenska has also been awarded a 30% interest in PL 690. Bridge Energy is the operator of the license and Bayerngas is co-partner, with 40% and 30% interest respectively.

“With these awards Svenska continues to build its position on the Norwegian Continental Shelf. We are looking forward to being able to progress the opportunities identified in the new acreage awarded to us.” says Svenska’s Vice President Exploration Torgny Berglund.

Svenska now holds interests in 16 licenses in Norway. Svenska’s ambition is to continue to increase the company’s Norwegian presence, both through exploration efforts as well by participating in the commercialization of the recent discoveries where Svenska has been contributing in the past few years.
