Thailand kicks start Visit Thailand Year 2023: Amazing New Chapters in the Nordic and Baltic market

To kick off Amazing New Chapter 2023, Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) in an honour of Mr. Siripakorn Cheawsamoot, Deputy Governor of Tourism Authority of Thailand together with Thai representatives had the pleasure of joining MATKA 2023 Travel Fair in Helsinki during 19 – 22 January after 2 years pause due to pandemic.  TAT took this opportunity to strategize upcoming campaign with major tour operators in Finland and Baltic markets. MATKA, the biggest travel fair in Nordic countries has welcomed over 900 companies from 70 different countries and more than 50,000 visitors this year.

Moreover, TAT also held Networking Lunch Visit Thailand Year 2023 in Stockholm on 20 January. Attended by major tour operators and airlines, Visit Thailand Year 2023 Networking Lunch was an opportunity to discuss Thailand’s direction as well as exchanging ideas to stimulate traveling during this summer and winter 2023/2024.

TAT has also introduced new Fast Forward strategy A-B-C-D:

A – Airline Focus to continue the collaboration with the leading airlines.

B – Big Cities and Beyond to penetrate new markets in major and secondary cities.

CCollaboration is Key to work with new partners including tour operators, travel agency and online travel providers

D – Destination for ALL to promote Thailand as an “All-year round Destination”

 

TAT strengthens “Visit Thailand Year 2023” underlining the kingdom’s soft power foundations and experience-based tourism, key strategies being elevating supply and sustainable standards and raising awareness among stakeholders in Thailand about the importance of hospitality to all visitors for an excellent experience. In 2019, Thailand had over 40 million tourists. This year TAT expects to welcome 25 million international tourists.
