Shawbrook Bank's Manchester office kicks off celebrations to mark International Women's Day

To celebrate International Women's Day, Shawbrook Bank's offices across the UK are taking part in a range of celebratory activities.

To kick things off, staff at our Manchester office in Salford have created a board filled with mentions of women who inspire them, with colleagues also committing to an action that will help forge a more gender equal world. 

Shawbrook's International Women's Day event in its recently opened Manchester office took place in the Pankhurst room - fittingly named after Emmeline Pankhurst who is best remembered for organising the UK's suffragette movement and helping women win the right to vote. 

Staff were also involved in donating funds to The Girls' Network, which aims to inspire and empower girls from least advantaged communities across the United Kingdom.
