The global consulting firm will focus on reducing and offsetting its carbon footprint

[Boston, MA] February 17, 2021 – The global strategy and marketing consultancy Simon-Kucher & Partners has announced its commitment to becoming carbon neutral by the end of 2021. This is part of a broader range of sustainability initiatives to be rolled out by the company globally this year.

“2020 provided us with an opportunity to think about how we could re-define ‘the new normal,’ for our business, in a more sustainable way," said CEO Dr. Andreas von der Gathen. “We’re making a commitment to reduce our footprint with a more sustainable approach to travel and green energy.”

Simon-Kucher will focus on directly reducing its carbon footprint as well as compensating for the remaining carbon emissions. The firm has developed a set of sustainability standards to be applied across all offices, which include new travel guidelines and plans to switch to 100 percent renewable energy.

“Sustainability is a priority topic across all levels, functions and regions of our company. We are proud to be making this commitment together as part of our sustainability journey at Simon-Kucher," said Fabian Farkas, Senior Director and Head of Simon-Kucher’s Global CSR Committee.
