Svenska Petroleum Exploration (Svenska), license partner in PL035, confirms the completion of the appraisal well 30/11-10 A on the “Krafla Main” Structure.  The appraisal well 30/11-10 A was drilled one kilometre north west of the discovery well 30/11-8 S.The main target was to appraise the 30/11-8 S discovery and enhanced data collection and sampling have been undertaken. 30/11-10 A was drilled to a vertical depth of 3673 metres below the sea surface, and was terminated in the Ness formation in the Middle Jurassic. Water depth at the site is 105 metres. Oil discovery in the North Sea - Krafla North

Svenska Petroleum Exploration (Svenska), as a 25% license partner in PL035, confirms the completion of the drilling well 30/11-10 on the “Krafla North” prospect. This structure is located about 1,6 kilometres northwest of the 30/11-8 S (Krafla Main) discovery proven in 2011, and about 180 kilometres west of Bergen. The water depth at the site is 105 metres. Svenska’s current resource estimate for the license is 6-19 million barrels of oil in primary objectives.Primary exploration target of 30/11-10 was to prove petroleum in Middle Jurassic reservoir rocks of the Tarbert and Etive Formations.

Successful appraisal of the Garantiana oil discovery 34/6-2 S and a new oil discovery in license PL554

Svenska Petroleum Exploration (Svenska), as a 20% license partner in PL554, confirms the completion of the drilling and testing of appraisal well 34/6-3 S on the “Garantiana” discovery and the wildcat sidetrack 34/6-3A. This structure is located about 30 kilometres northeast of the Visund field in the northern part of the North Sea, and about 185 kilometres northwest of Bergen. The water depth at the site is 381 metres. Oil Discovery at the Garantiana Well 34/6-2 S Norway, PL554

Svenska Petroleum Exploration (Svenska), as a 20% license partner in PL554, confirms that the Garantiana Well has been drilled to a TVD of 4050 metres in the Triassic Lunde Formation. The well penetrated an oil-bearing Cook Formation with good reservoir characteristics.No oil-water contact was encountered. Preliminary results show an oil rate of around 4,000 bbl/day through a 28/64" choke.
