Tele2 ranked number one on gender equality among Swedish OMX30 companies
Stockholm – International Equileap has awarded Tele2 AB’s (“Tele2”) (Nasdaq Stockholm: TEL2 A and TEL2 B) gender equality efforts with a first place among companies in the Swedish OMX30 index. Scoring 63 percent, Tele2 ranks eighth among 255 evaluated European companies, but also sees great potential for improvement.
Tele2 is awarded the top score by having seven out of the eight policies Equileap recommends to promote gender equality in the workplace. Equileap also notes the fact that Tele2 has a gender balanced board and over 30 percent women at both executive and senior management levels.
– This is yet another recognition of the fact that we are on the right track with our gender equality efforts. We will celebrate this achievement, but will not be satisfied until we have reached our long-term ambitions, including a gender balanced organization by 2023, says Therese Torstensson, Head of Talent Supply and Development at Tele2.
