Tengbom's interior design studio has designed the new Kommendören restaurant in Stockholm's Östermalm district. The neighbourhood restaurant is inspired by the American bistro concept and will open its doors this Friday, 10 October.

Kommendören, at Kommendörsgatan 7, is the most recent addition for the owners of Vassa Eggen, Boqueria, Tennstopet and Albert & Jack´s, all designed by Tengbom's interior design studio.

"We have created a genuine and welcoming neighbourhood restaurant inspired by New York's popular bistro culture. Everything has been specially designed and we are convinced that our concept will help to make Kommendören one of Stockholm's most popular hangouts," says Filip Svensson, interior designer, Tengbom.

Tengbom's interior design studio is responsible for the restaurant's interior which seats about 60 guests in the restaurant and an additional 25 in the bar. Kommendören will be open for dinner seven evenings a week, lunch on Fridays and brunch on Saturdays and Sundays.
