The Jury for the Green Tenant Award 2014 has nominated the consultant firm U&We as this year’s winner. U&We combines successful sustainability with business value and provides both a sustainable working environment and sense of community with great creativity which was the keyword for this year’s competition. Second prize was awarded to Vasakronan and third prize goes to SABO.

U&We was named the winner at today’s award ceremony at the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce by jury chairman Peter Örn with the following motivation:

“U&We makes the best of the opportunities of the small workplace with creativity and originality. The company’s aim is to be a catalyst in the process of combining sustainability with business value. This creative approach to a sustainable working environment opens up new horizons and shows that even a small company can inspire and guide the sustainable involvement of other organisations, a special quality that puts U&We in first place this year.”

U&We works in a focused manner to create a sustainable working environment by taking both environmental issues and employee satisfaction into account. The company also challenges the definition of an office by encouraging employees, customers and others to use the premises outside working hours, by holding a children’s party at work for example.

Green Tenant Award was established in 2011 by Tengbom and Nextport Business Relocation Partner in order to highlight companies and organisations that are working to develop and promote a sustainable working environment. The jury for the Green Tenant Award 2014 consisted, in addition to Peter Örn, former Chairman of the Government Delegation for Sustainable Cities, of Nyamko Sabuni, Sustainability Director at ÅF, Linn Dahlberg, Business Developer at Fabege, Thomas Stoll, Sustainability Director at Tengbom and Erik Dellner, CEO of Nextport.
