Approximately 930,000 families including 1.6million children are forced to deal with fuel poverty across local communities in the UK. Fuel poverty has severe effects on society such as health problems keeping people out of education, social isolation and mental illness. Home Survey Reports Ltd (HSR), located in Bury is offering a free support service available for people in Greater Manchester who are struggling to pay their utility bills. The government is offering grants and funding to help tackle fuel poverty under various initiatives such as the Green Deal and Energy Company
