TOMRA: Successful Bid for Network Operator Role in the New South Wales Container Deposit Scheme

The New South Wales (NSW) Environment Minister Gabrielle Upton has today, 29.07.2017, announced that TOMRA’s joint venture with Cleanaway (“TOMRA-Cleanaway”) has been appointed as the Network Operator for the State’s Container Deposit Scheme starting in December 2017. The Container Deposit Scheme will be a vital contribution to NSW’s litter volume reduction target of 40% by 2020. “This is the biggest initiative to tackle litter in the state’s history and it will make a massive difference to the amount of rubbish on our streets, parks and waterways right across NSW,” Environment Minister
