Saxlund GmbH wins order for Holcim, Germany
Saxlund International GmbH, a subsidiary of Opcon, the energy and environmental technology Group, has been awarded a material handling contract for secondary fuel at Holcim (Deutschland) AG’s plant in Höver, Germany. The Swiss group Holcim is a world leading supplier of cement and aggregates with some 80 000 employees and production plants in about 70 countries.
The scope includes the delivery of Saxlund’s solid and well-tested floor discharger systems as well as several conveyors and separation systems, all designed to handle up to 12 tonnes/hour of refuse-derived fuel (RDF). Delivery is in 2013. Total order value is close to 5 m SEK.

Within the bioenergy sector, Opcon offers everything from the design of complete combined heat and power (CHP) plants to handling systems and incineration plants under the Saxlund brand. Under the SRE brand, systems are supplied for treatment and improved energy efficiency for bioenergy-powered district heating plants, sawmills, pellets producers and commercial greenhouses. The offer also includes flue gas condensation equipment for industrial activities.
