Opcon: Saxlund wins major bioenergy contract worth 28 m SEK

Energy and environmental technology group Opcon has won a major bioenergy contract for Saxlund’s fuel handling and biomass combustion technology for the privately owned sawmill Hilmer Andersson, HAL in Korterud, Sweden. Order value amounts to around 28 m SEK with commissioning in 2015. Saxlund to aid in conversion of Slough Heat and Power

Saxlund International Ltd, a subsidiary of Opcon AB, the energy and environmental technology Group, has been awarded a material handling contract from O.Kay Engineering Services Ltd (UK), who has been given the overall Contract for the provision of a new fuel to boiler processing line at Slough Heat and Power, Berkshire, UK. The Slough biomass based CHP-plant owned by SSE is undergoing an upgrade in order to broaden the fuel envelope. Saxlund will be responsible for the design and delivery of a new reception area based on its solid and well-tested floor discharger systems and storage.

Opcon to increase energy efficiency in Falkenberg

Opcon AB, the energy and environmental technology Group has been awarded an order for delivery of SRE’s flue gas condenser to the biomass fueled district heating plant in Falkenberg, Sweden. SRE’s leading flue gas condenser efficiently captures waste heat in smokestack gases and recycles the energy to the district heating grid. The flue gas condenser, that adds some 1,7 MW to the system in Falkenberg, increases energy efficiency with up to 20-25% depending on fuel thereby helping Falkenberg Energi to reduce their fuel consumption and lower emissions considerably. Saxlund to deliver to Waste-to-Energy project in Zürich

Saxlund International GmbH, a fully-owned subsidiary of Opcon AB, the energy and environmental technology Group, has won an order from Outotec GmbH for the delivery of sludge handling equipment to the Waste-to-Energy solution at ERZ Entsorgung + Recycling Zürich’s new sludge incineration plant in Zürich. The sludge will be dried, burned and used as biofuel for the production of renewable heat and power. Saxlund International GmbH, a subsidiary of Opcon, the energy and environmental technology Group, has been awarded a material handling contract for secondary fuel at Holcim (Deutschland) AG’s plant in Höver, Germany. Saxlund International GmbH, a subsidiary of Opcon, the energy and environmental technology Group, has been awarded the exterior material handling contract for the bioenergy power plant being built by Viessmann for Prolignis Energie Consulting GmbH Co.KG, Ingolstadt, Germany. The biomass-fueled power plant will produce electricity and steam to be used in sterilising of medical equipment manufactured by B.Braun in Melsungen. Opcon wins another bioenergy repeat order in the Czech Republic

Opcon, the energy and environmental technology Group, has received yet another order for equipment that recycles waste heat, this time within the bioenergy sector in the Czech Republic. The order concerns the delivery of the SRE Renergi flue gas condenser including treatment for another district heating plant operated by TTS in the town of Trebic, Czech Republic.
