Completed property transactions and project starts in the second quarter 2019

Wallenstam has started the construction of a further 165 rental apartments and a commercial project consisting of about 20,000 sq m in Kallebäcks Terrasser in Gothenburg. The property Lorensberg 54:9 in the Avenyn area, was taken into possession and the property Johanneberg 15:32 in Gothenburg was vacated during the quarter.

“There is still very strong demand for centrally located commercial floor space in Gothenburg, and the property in the Avenyn area that we have now taken into possession will complement our centrally located holdings very well,” says Hans Wallenstam, CEO.

In April, Wallenstam started the construction of 165 rental apartments, and a commercial project with a total area of about 20,000 sq m in Kallebäcks Terrasser, Gothenburg. Both the rental apartments and the commercial premises are planned to be completed in 2021.

“With the quarter’s construction starts in Kallebäcks Terrasser, we now have more than 430 apartments and about 20,000 sq m of commercial space in production in the new city district, where we are planning for a total of 1,800 apartments, workplaces and different types of services such as shops and schools,” says Hans Wallenstam, CEO.

The following transactions were completed during the quarter:

  • The property Lorensberg 54:9 with the address Lorensbergsgatan 2-4/Vasagatan 45 in the Avenyn area of central Gothenburg was taken into possession on April 1. The seller was SEB Trygg Liv. The purchase price amounted to SEK 375 million, which was previously announced in a press release on February 14, 2019.
  • The property Johanneberg 15:32 with the address Volrat Thamsgatan 4 in Gothenburg was vacated on May 2. The agreed property value amounted to SEK 17.5 million, and the buyers were Grandab and Profura.
