Completed transactions and construction starts during Q4 2019
During the quarter, construction started of almost 300 apartments in two projects, in Uppsala and Sundbyberg.
One project involves 161 rental apartments in the Rosendal district in Uppsala. The other project consists of 133 rental apartments in phase 3 of our urban development project Umami Park in Hallonbergen, Sundbyberg. All 294 apartments are planned to be ready for occupation during 2021.
“In Umami Park, we will build a total of 900 apartments, and right now more than half are under construction or have been completed,” says Hans Wallenstam, CEO.
In our urban development project in Mölnlycke Fabriker in Härryda, construction started of two sports centers and a car park, which will serve the 600 homes that are currently being built.
On November 19, Wallenstam took possession of project properties in Tyresö, consisting of about 12,500 sq m of land close to Tyresö Centrum.
Wallenstam has also acquired 8.5 percent of the shares in Tmpl, a property tech company that is developing a digital communication and service platform aimed at residential and commercial properties. Our own Wallenstam app, which began to be launched during the year for residents in our properties was developed in collaboration with Tmpl.
During the quarter, it was also confirmed that Wallenstam would be chosen as one of four anchor developers in an upcoming urban development project in Knivsta Municipality. The agreement also includes a land allocation of 250 apartments for Wallenstam, which was announced in a press release on November 13, 2019.
