Events during the first quarter, 2023
During the quarter, Wallenstam completed 122 rental apartments in two projects in Gothenburg. All in all, Wallenstam had 1,622 apartments under construction as of March 31, 2023. Wallenstam’s repurchase of its own shares that started on October 25, 2022, has now ended.
In the Kv.8 project in Kallebäcks Terrasser, which involves 266 rental apartments in total, 108 apartments were completed during the quarter. In addition to this, 14 rental apartments were completed in a reconstruction project on Djurgårdsgatan where commercial premises have been converted into apartments.
Construction did not start of any apartments during the quarter. All in all, Wallenstam had 1,622 apartments under construction as of March 31, 2023.
Wallenstam has also signed an agreement on the sale of the commercial property Dragarbrunn 20:6 in Uppsala for an agreed property value of SEK 140.5 million, which was announced in a press release on March 9, 2023.
Wallenstam has repurchased a total of 500,000 shares for approximately SEK 19 million during the first quarter, and has now ended the repurchase of the company’s own shares. After the above-mentioned acquisitions, Wallenstam’s holding of treasury shares amounts to 1,500,000 B shares. The total number of shares in Wallenstam amounts to 660,000,000, of which 69,000,000 are A shares and 591,000,000 are B shares.
The repurchases were carried out on Nasdaq Stockholm according to the authorization from the Annual General Meeting on April 26, 2022. Reporting of the completed repurchases has occurred in accordance with applicable rules to Nasdaq Stockholm.
