Events during the first quarter, 2024
During the quarter, Wallenstam has completed two new construction projects in Gothenburg and Uppsala as well as the reconstruction and extension of a commercial property in central Gothenburg. All in all, Wallenstam had 830 apartments under construction as of March 31, 2024. Wallenstam’s repurchase of its own shares that started on October 20, 2023 has now ended.
The Kv.5 project in Kallebäcks Terrasser, Gothenburg, which comprises 182 apartments, has been completed during the quarter, as has the Kompositören project in Uppsala where the last 69 apartments out of a total of 185 are now occupied. All in all, Wallenstam had 830 apartments under construction as of March 31, 2024.
Wallenstam’s commercial property at Stampgatan in Gothenburg which has been reconstructed and extended is now completed. The property has been modernized and made more energy efficient and has also gained a new look with a glazed 1.5-floor extension comprising approximately 1,600 sq m. As previously communicated, the coworking operator Convendum has moved into the top three floors of the property.
On October 20, 2023, Wallenstam launched a share buyback program based on the authorization from the Annual General Meeting on May 3, 2023. 1,500,000 shares have been repurchased during the program, which is now concluded. Reporting of the completed buybacks has occurred in accordance with the applicable rules to Nasdaq Stockholm.
After the above acquisitions, Wallenstam’s holding of treasury shares amounts to 3,000,000 B shares, purchased at an average price of SEK 43.28 per share. The total number of shares in Wallenstam amounts to 660,000,000, of which 69,000,000 are A shares and 591,000,000 are B shares.
