Right in the heart of Kallebäcks Terrasser, work is now starting on kvarter 6, Torget, which will be the area’s most central block with about 300 apartments and attractive premises in the ground floors. The block will comprise a total of four building bodies where the tallest building with 20 floors will serve as a gateway to the entire area – a building that should represent more than just itself. In late 2025, the first tenants are expected to be able to move in.

Bright colors and carefully selected material choices will characterize the block, which will be developed next to the new square. The tallest building will be an iconic building in the area featuring inviting entrances and stylish, illuminated façades.

“It is so wonderful to see the development and how Kallebäcks Terrasser is taking shape. We have already welcomed just over 400 residential tenants and several fine companies here. The Kvarter Torget block which is now being started will be a welcoming entrance to the entire area,” says Marina Fritsche, Regional Director Gothenburg and Vice CEO of Wallenstam.

Kvarter 6 will be constructed according to Miljöbyggnad silver standard and the 300 apartments will range in size from studio – 3 bedrooms. In the connecting blocks, which are gradually taking shape along Kallebäcks Torggata, residents will have direct proximity to services and restaurants around the corner. In the ground floors of the blocks, new business opportunities are being created in around 20 retail and restaurant premises.

The construction of Kallebäcks Terrasser began in 2019. So far, 435 new residential tenants, Nordic Wellness, Bico and Cellink have moved into and established in the area. When fully developed, Kallebäcks Terrasser will consist of almost 2,000 new homes, a new school, nursery school, offices, restaurants, cafés and local services.  Apart from kvarter 6, Torget, construction is currently in progress of a school, nursery school and another four residential blocks in the area with just over 700 rental apartments and attractive premises in the ground floors. The apartments in Kallebäcks Terrasser will be allocated through Wallenstam’s own housing queue.
