Wallenstam’s Chairman of the Board for many years, Christer Villard, has left us after a period of illness. He will be succeeded until further notice by Vice Chairman Ulrica Jansson Messing.

“Christer made an invaluable contribution to Wallenstam over the years. He leaves a huge void after him and I am extremely grateful for his tremendous dedication and contribution to the company’s development,” says Hans Wallenstam, CEO.

Christer Villard served as a Board member of Wallenstam AB since 1995 and was elected as Chairman of the Board in 2004. Concurrently with his assignment on Wallenstam’s Board, he worked on the boards of several other companies and held assignments at various foundations. He previously held a number of executive positions in the financial and banking sector.

“My thoughts are with Christer’s family and relatives. Christer always left a big impression, both professionally and in private meetings.  For me, he was also a mentor and fantastic friend, I don’t have words to describe how much he will be missed,” says Hans Wallenstam.

Vice Chairman Ulrica Jansson Messing has been a Board member of Wallenstam since 2008. She will succeed Christer Villard until the next Annual General Meeting, when the election of the Chairman of the Board will take place.
