We have now started the construction of our second phase in Stallbacken, Mölndal involving 88 rental apartments. The two buildings will frame an easily accessible common courtyard and occupation of the apartments is expected in late 2017. Wallenstam will build a total about 550 apartments in the area consisting of a mix of rental and co-operative apartments with clean electricity from Svensk NaturEnergi.

“This is our second new construction project in the area. We will provide a total about 550 new apartments in Stallbacken, a modern, pleasant and exciting residential district in a park-like setting in Mölndal. We look forward to participating in and to continue contributing to the development of more attractive homes here,” says Thomas Dahl, Deputy CEO of Wallenstam.

Wallenstam’s first new construction project in Stallbacken, Stage 1, started in late 2014 and will be ready for gradual occupation starting in the fall of 2016. In all, Wallenstam will build five phases in the area, of which the first two, Stage 1 and Level 2, are now in progress.

In Level 2, as the project is called, the courtyard’s greenery will be visually accompanied by green balconies in the façades. In the courtyard, people will be able to play a large-size game of chess, challenge friends in boules or enjoy the greenery of the pergola.

When Stallbacken is completed as a district, it will contain about 1,000 apartments and two nursery schools.
