Wallenstam enters Täby Municipality

Wallenstam operates in most of the Stockholm region’s municipalities with its project operations, where the company builds cost-efficient rental apartments for its own management.  We have not previously had the privilege of being able to invest in Täby Municipality, but now we have acquired land for construction of housing. Apart from regular housing, the project may also include homes for the elderly, coworking space, corporate housing and garage.

The land is located in the Täby Park development area, adjacent to Täby Centrum. It is zoned land and comprises 40,500 sq m of habitable gross floor area. The planning and design work will commence shortly and the goal is to be able to start construction in the first quarter of 2021.

“We are really looking forward to the cooperation with Täby Municipality. It also feels really great that in this construction we can bring along several different parts from our operations, and several different forms of housing,” says Hans Wallenstam, CEO.

The three properties Täby Tibble 10:8 and 10:9 as well as Täby Bergkristallen 1, are being acquired via a company transaction as of April 29 and the agreed property value is SEK 185 million in total. The seller is TryggHem.
