Wallenstam opens office in Uppsala
With about 1,000 started and planned rental apartments in Uppsala, Wallenstam is today opening a local office at the Kungsgatan/Vaksalagatan intersection in Uppsala. The office was inaugurated by the Chairwoman of the Municipal Executive Board Marlene Burwick, Municipal Commissioner Fredrik Ahlstedt and Wallenstam’s CEO Hans Wallenstam.
“We are extremely happy to now be officially in place in Uppsala with our own office and to be able to meet our customers locally. We now have three new construction projects in progress involving almost 400 apartments and have already welcomed some 150 new tenants. Meanwhile, planning and design work is in full swing for more rental apartments in Uppsala,” says Mathias Aronsson, Vice CEO of Wallenstam.
Wallenstam has been active in Uppsala since 2014 and last year entered into collaboration with Uppsala Housing Agency (Uppsala Bostadsförmedling), which will act as an agent for half of the newly constructed apartments. The other half will be allocated through Wallenstam’s own housing queue. The ongoing projects are Snickeriet in Östra Sala Backe, Fjärilen in Rosendal and Symfonin in Gränby.
“Over the course of the next 18 months, we plan to start new construction projects in Rosendal, Eriksberg and Kvarngärdet. The first project to begin will be Tre Vänner in Rosendal with 150 apartments. This is a new construction project, which will have mobility and cycling in focus,” says Aronsson.
