Wallenstam selected to participate in the development of Landvetter Södra
Wallenstam will be one of the six construction and property companies that will develop Landvetter Södra together with Landvetter Södra Utveckling AB and Härryda Municipality. Landvetter Södra will be built in a strategic location between Gothenburg and Borås, close to Gothenburg Landvetter Airport. It will be a modern, international, innovative and humane town for at least 25,000 inhabitants.

The plan for Landvetter Södra is to build innovatively and sustainably in line with Agenda 2030, which is well suited to how we want to build towns,” says Hans Wallenstam, CEO of Wallenstam AB.
Landvetter Södra has been designated by the Swedish government as one of nine interesting urban development projects in Sweden. The ambition is to become a model and part of a national world exhibition for sustainable urban development from the outset.
“We have enjoyed excellent cooperation with Härryda Municipality for a long time and look forward to deepening our collaboration further in this way. We are actively working on managing and developing our properties in the municipality and in late 2018, we started the development of Mölnlycke Fabriker involving 600 new homes,” says Hans Wallenstam, CEO of Wallenstam AB.
The next stage in Landvetter Södra is to establish a consortium and together decide on the strategy and a plan for the work on developing the first phase. There are 15 hectares to begin with, featuring a mixed development of mainly housing, which will be built in close proximity to the town of Landvetter, Gothenburg Landvetter airport and Airport City. The zoning plan work, which will be developer-driven, is expected to start during the third and fourth quarters of 2019.
