About Us

Wayfinder offers map, direction and GPS navigation services accessible by mobile phones. From these basic navigation services, we provide mobile phone users with content services including digital city guidebooks traffic information, currency conversion and weather reports. Wayfinder has selected Tele Atlas digital maps because they are complete, accurate and up-to-date. Our clients include major handset manufacturers and operators such as Telenor, 3, AT&T, Vodafone, SFR, Pannon, Telefonica and mobilkom austria. The products are sold to end users throughout Europe and North America. Wayfinder has over 1000000 unique users. Wayfinder has been listed on the NGM Equity stock exchange since 21st October 2005. Wayfinder receives an additional order of 19.5 million SEK

Wayfinder secures an additional order from a large handset manufacturer. The total order value now amounts to 39 million SEK to be delivered during Q3 2007. Wayfinder will provide Wayfinder Navigator software and services together with GPS receivers based on maps from Tele Atlas.Approximately 60% of the order consists of hardware and 40% of services with a substantial potential for additional services to be delivered at a later point in time. Wayfinder and Airtel have entered into an agreement whereby Wayfinder will provide its world leading navigation services to Airtel users. Airtel will offer Wayfinder services to their customers on their web and mobile portals as well as in retail stores all over India. Wayfinder acquires Navicore

Wayfinder and Navicore have today announced that an agreement has been signed finalising the acquisition of the Finnish navigation company Navicore by Wayfinder. By joining forces the combined entity will offer award winning location applications and services on all major platforms in connected mobile devices. The user base will exceed one million users with more than 200 000 paying users. Market for phone based navigation shows continued growth – Nokia acquires Gate5

On the 31st of August 2006 it was announced through a press release from navigation company Gate5 that Nokia has agreed to acquire Gate5. According to the information published the primary objective with the initiative is to speed up the penetration of navigation solutions in the mobile handset market. Another objective, according to the press release, has been to put the Gate5 On-board navigation solution on the NSeries phones of Nokia. Wayfinder cooperates with Nokia since 3 years in the area of Off-board Solutions and in most cases the cooperation is also includes Mobile Phone Operators.
