Wihlborgs builds service facility for MAN
Wihlborgs has signed an agreement with MAN Truck & Bus for the construction of a service facility at Stora Bernstorp in the Municipality of Burlöv.
MAN is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of commercial vehicles and is the second largest truck manufacturer in Europe. At Stora Bernstorp, Wihlborgs will construct a service centre for trucks and buses together with associated office space of 2,300 m² that MAN Truck & Bus will lease over a 20-year period. The contractor for the project will be the Danish firm, Vestergaard Nielsen A/S, which has previously built a service facility for MAN in Denmark.
Wihlborgs’ investment will amount to SEK 66 million and the yield is estimated at 7 percent. Occupancy is planned for 1 July 2018.
“We are delighted to have this opportunity to create a modern workshop facility together with MAN. The property has an excellent location for this type of operation with direct access to the major E Roads,” says Anders Jarl, CEO of Wihlborgs Fastigheter.
“We are pleased to be taking the next natural step in the development of MAN Truck & Bus in the Swedish market and to be investing in the company’s first Truck & Bus Center in Sweden, which will be one of the most modern workshops in the Nordic region. This investment clearly confirms MAN’s ambitious plans in Sweden with particular focus on Skåne,” says Fabian Knappik, Country Manager for MAN Truck & Bus Sverige AB.
