Wihlborgs has signed a five-year lease with the technology company Altran for the entirety of Tullhuset in Nyhamnen, Malmö.

Altran will rent all of Tullhuset, next to Magasinet on Jörgen Kocksgatan. The property was built in 1931 on behalf of the Customs service and is a building typical for its time, currently one of Stockholm quay’s oldest protected buildings. The lease encompasses 930 m2.

“We are immensely pleased to have the opportunity to renovate this beautiful old building for a new tenant, the same way we did with Magasinet over five years ago,” says Ulrika Hallengren, CEO of Wihlborgs Fastigheter.

“Development in Nyhamnen is just beginning, and will continue for many years to come. New buildings will be mixed with old ones, and together with Magasinet, Tullhuset will link the past with the present. Tullhuset will become a real gem in central Nyhamnen, and according to the plans, the property will be surrounded with parks as well as new buildings. Being a part of the early development is our way to help put Nyhamnen on the map and, together with the city and other actors, help speed up development in the area.

Renovation of the property will begin shortly and occupancy is planned for 1 June 2020.
