The new Winterhalter PT-XL passthrough warewasher takes on big dishes

Winterhalter’s all-new PT range of passthrough warewashers has raised warewashing to new heights of brilliance. The machines are more energy efficient, faster, with more cleaning power and easier to use. Now, with the introduction of the largest in the range, the PT-XL, Winterhalter has made this superior warewashing technology available for sites that regularly wash large dishes up to GN-2/1 tray size.
Designed to minimise energy consumption but maximise cleaning power, the PT-XL features a flexible energy system, which makes use of available energy to prepare the machine rapidly for operation. This can reduce the heating time by up to 50 %.
The PT-XL’s elliptical wash fields with integrated wash and rinse jets ensure all parts of the wash are reached. The VarioPower washing pressure adjustment, combined with the innovative full-flow filtration guarantees perfect cleaning results.
When the required washing programme is selected, VarioPower automatically adjusts the washing power to the type of dishes and the degree of soiling. Anything with light soiling is washed at low pressure, while items with heavy soiling are cleaned at a higher pressure. Other elements involved in the cleaning process are adjusted automatically according to the programme selected, in particular temperature, time, detergent and rinse aid.
To keep the wash water clean a patented full jet filtration, filters 100 % of the wash water. The Winterhalter Mediamat also removes fine impurities such as coffee grounds using centrifugal force. A sensor continuously monitors the quality of the wash water, feeding fresh water into the tank when necessary.
The PT-XL uses the EnergyLight waste water heat exchanger to cut down on energy consumption. The cold water supply is continuously pre-heated by energy reclaimed from the waste water, which means that it reaches the required rinse temperature up to 26 % faster, making back-to-back rack washing possible.
Designed for ease of use, the three standard programmes are activated via a language neutral touchsceen. Visual and audible signals alert operators to problems, such as blocked wash fields or lack of detergent.
With a rack size of 500 x 600mm and entry clearance of 560mm, the PT-XL offers enough space for most types of dishes and, depending on the application, is available as a dishwasher for dishes, glasses or cutlery.
