Skanska builds and replaces bridge in UK for GBP 52M, about SEK 580M
Skanska has signed a contract with Network Rail for its replacement bridge project in the West Midlands region, UK. The contract is worth GBP 52M, about SEK 580M, and will be included in the order bookings for Europe in the fourth quarter of 2020.Skanska will replace the SAS13 bridge on the Stechford to Aston (SAS) rail line to the east of Birmingham. The existing bridge comprising eight masonry arches and a central steelwork span, will be demolished, and replaced with a single 92 meter span steel structure. The works will pave the way for the construction of the new High Speed 2 line
