Fourth of July Warning: PCI Cautions Fire-Prone States to Prepare Finances for Wildfires
CHICAGO — With Arizona, California, Nevada, New Mexico and Utah battling significant wildfires, the Property Casualty Insurers Association (PCI) is warning residents across the country and particularly in wildfire-prone states to be extra cautious with the use of fireworks this Fourth of July. According to the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) in a typical year, Independence Day fireworks account for two out of five of all reported U.S. fires, more than any other cause of fire.
