Improved sustainability performance at Nordic Paper in Säffle
Nordic Paper has achieved a significant improvement in environmental performance at its plant in Säffe, Sweden. The improvement is primarily a result of a restructuring work carried out during last year. Emissions of oxygen demanding substances to water from the plant have decreased by more than 90% during the first quarter 2022 compared to last year’s average and the consumption of fossil fuels at the plant has been reduced by about 70%.The Nordic Paper Säffle plant is one of the largest producers of natural greaseproof papers in the world.
